Renting a Car During COVID-19 Restrictions

Can I rent a car when I come to island so when I’m out of quarantine I can drive?

The short answer is yes. Simply rent a car for the date you'll be finished with your quarantine. Many people are choosing the airport in Lihue (LIH) to rent their car so they can easily return it when they are headed back to the mainland.

Travel restrictions for the Garden Isle have eased. Previously, Kauai had one of the strictest restrictions in Hawaii but, starting on April 5, 2021 it reopened to trans-Pacific travelers, who will be able to skip a 10-day quarantine with a negative test result prior to arrival.
